Kinesiology

What is kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a safe, effective and non-invasive broad based complementary therapy that uses gentle muscle monitoring to identify underlying stress patterns in the body. It aims to cure the root of a problem, using complementary therapies, rather than simply addressing the presenting symptoms. It is suitable for both adults and children. Find out more about kids kinesiology here.

What other techniques are used?

Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST)

This Bowen and spinal therapy technique is a great, soft tissue technique that works extremely well in reducing pain in the body. It was developed by Dr. Michael Nixon-Livy in 1991 and has been taught all around the world. NST provides deep relaxation, which allows corrections to take place in the muscular, endocrine, visceral, and nervous systems.

NST is an additional tool that can be used to assess and correct the structural condition of the body, complementing the benefits of kinesiology hugely.

For more information, please refer to the NST website.

Total Body Modification (TBM)

TBM was developed by Dr. Victor Frank and was first taught in 1978. It’s a branch of applied kinesiology that works on the autonomic nervous system. It aims to restore the body’s self-regulation, removing blockages and allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

For more information, please refer to the TBM website.

Please note that it is more beneficial to perform some aspects of NST and TBM directly on the skin.
